VISIOCARE Ointment is an ophthalmic treatment for canine's eye problems. VISIOCARE ointment can be used to treat varied canine's eye conditions including chronic keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS, also called "dry eye") and chronic superficial keratitis (CSK) in dogs. VISIOCARE contains immunosuppressant that can reduce swelling and irritation of the eyes. The ointment medication can also reduce the redness and discomfort associated with the condition. Your veterinarian may also recommend its use for the treatment of other unlisted conditions.

Dogs afflicted with KCS or CSK will most likely require lifelong consistent therapy.

For best result in treating KCS, VISIOCARE cyclosporine ophthalmic ointment should be administered early in the course of the disease before irreversible damage to the lacrimal tissue, dense corneal scarring or pigmentation occurs.

In cases refractory to cyclosporine, the diagnosis should be re-evaluated and a different course of therapy considered. Periodic re-assessment of the need for VISIOCARE Ophthalmic Ointment therapy is recommended.

Directions For Use:
Remove debris with suitable non-irritating solutions. Apply a 1/4 inch strip of VISIOCARE ointment to the affected eye(s) every 12 hours. VISIOCARE ointment can be placed directly on the cornea or into the conjunctival sac.

Side Effects:
VISIOCARE Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Ointment is usually well tolerated, however side effects such as eye redness, irritation, stinging and rubbing of the eyes may occur in some dogs. VISIOCARE should not be used in dogs allergic to Cyclosporine.
